Since 2013, Hostelling International has celebrated the UN International Day of Peace, through our campaign Sleep for Peace. Initiated by HI-USA, the campaign has steadily grown over the last 6 years and is now celebrated in HI hostels across the world, gaining strong support from the UN and UNWTO!  Last year was our most successful year yet with over 6 million contributions across 29 countries, and we want you to help us inspire even more people this year.
Celebrating Hostellings Role in Peace.
Our hostels play a vital role in celebrating peace and cultural awareness every single day, which is why we plan to share our campaign for the world, with the world on the International day of Peace (21st September).Inspiring young people to travel is easy. Inspiring peace in the world? Not so much… but they both have one thing in common:  Travel.
 
Help inspire others and be in with a chance of winning some top prizes.
All you have to do is share a story via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter showcasing your contribution to sustainable and/or peaceful travel using the #Sleepforpeace.
